About Us

The Department of Pulmonary Medicine aims to diagnose and treat patients suffering from respiratory disorders. The department specializes in detection and management of respiratory infections like pneumonia, obstructive airway diseases like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sleep disorders, interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis and other breathing disorders.
The Department has facilities for pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy and Ultrasound guided lung biopsy and pleural procedures.
We have specialized outpatient clinic and inpatient facilities with standard nursing care for management and rehabilitation of ailing respiratory patients.
We are also training respiratory residents with ongoing academic activities and novel research projects.
