Inauguration of Perinatal mental health program. Dept of Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Perinatal mental health programme in Department of O & G was inaugurated by principal Dr. S.Shankar on 29th June 2023..The program is aimed to assess the mental health of all antenatal mothers attending OPDs and admitted in wards with the help of counselors to identify those with high risk for postpartum depression and other psychiatric illness and provide psychological support..
Medical supt Dr.T.K.Jayakumar chaired the function which was attended by Vice Principal Dr.Varghese Punnoose, Deputy Supt Dr.Ratheesh ,HOD gynecology Dr Beena kumari and Vishak , Consultant Physiotherapist CTVS..
The programme is named Mathrumanasam which is the need of the hour.
