Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Government Medical College, Kottayam and various development projects. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a Super specialty block and paramedical hostel. A state of art scientific warehouse,medical and surgical store, and an Ophthalmology Operation theatre were also inaugurated. Health Minister Smt. Veena George presided over the function, while Cooperation Minister Sri. V N Vasavan welcomed the gathering. Sri. Thomas Chazhikadan, M.P. delivered the keynote address.
