About Us
Pharmacy is the health care system and technique of identifying, testing, preparing and dispensing of drugs; and monitoring/optimizing drug therapies. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.
Pharmacists provide direct patient care services that optimize the use of medication and promotes health, wellness, and disease prevention. Clinical pharmacists care for patients in all health care settings, the clinical pharmacy services shall primarily be available in in-patient departments inside hospitals and clinics. Clinical pharmacists often collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to improve pharmaceutical care. Clinical pharmacists are now an integral part of the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. They often participate in patient care rounds for drug product selection. In India/ Kerala Pharmacy is often misunderstood as a shop where medicines are sold. Pharmacy is a separate branch of modern medicine and not a paramedical science and pharmacy is having a regulatory council in India as well as globally.
