At present Prof. Tigy Thomas Jacob is the Professor and HOD. The Post Graduate courses were started in 1987 with three M. S. seats and six diploma seats. Prof. P. A. Alexander was instrumental in starting the Post Graduate Programme.
During the last state conference at Alappuzha our Senior Resident Dr.Ann Maria John was awarded the best PG Gold medal. In the 2026 MS/MD examination conducted by KUHS, Dr. Greeshma Jolly secured 1st rank, and Dr. Abhijith S. Nettoor secured 2nd rank. In the February 2025 examination, Dr. Salman secured 1st rank, and Dr. Adithya Varghese secured 2nd rank in KUHS. Both are doing MCh in Sports Medicine at AIMS Rishikesh in the 2nd year and 1st year respectively.
Junior Residents presented eight papers & 18 posters. Prof. Tigy Thomas Jacob gave one faculty talk and was the convenor for the Arthroplasty session.
