Electro physiology lab to be functional soon
The electro physiology lab at Dept. Of PMR is expected to be functional soon. There will be facilities for NCS, EMG studies and also various guided intervention pain procedures.

About the Department of PM&R
The Department of PM&R started functioning in 1982 . The Department serves the disabled population of nearly four districts. The following facilities are available at the department.
Daily Outpatient Service
30 bedded ward for inpatient rehabilitation for patients with spinal cord injuries, stroke, IVDP, rheumatologic conditions, cerebral palsy etc...
A well equipped Physiotherapy unit.
Artificail limb Centre where assistive devices (Orthoses) and artificial limbs ( Prosthesis) are manufactured.
Electrophysiology lab with facilities for NCS, EMG etc..
MD course in PM&R has been started from the year 2012 with yearly intake of one candidate
Training for post graduate students from Dept. of Orthopaedics.
Training of interns and undergraduates.
Certificate Course in Prosthetics and Orthotics is being conducted with an annual intake of 15 students.
This department has started functioning in the Op block in 1982 with facilities for prosthetics,orthotics and physiotherapy.6 beds for male patient in ward no 14, 4 beds in ward no:19 and 2 beds in ward no:18 were reserved for female patient.In addition to this patients were admitted to pay ward also.The prosthetics & orthotics section was shifted to a new building in Op block during 1995.The OP and Physiotherapy was shifted to the new building during 2002. Ward no 28 was established in the new building with 14 beds for male and 14 beds for female during the same period.

Outpatient service All days except Sunday an average of 40 patients with various nerurological (mainly paralytic conditions), musculoskeletal diseases and amputees attend this department
Inpatients – 30 beds. 15 male & 15 female
Physiotherapy we have a very good Physiotherapy wing giving services to out patients , inpatients and bedside physiotherapy to inpatients of other specialities.
Physiotherapy area with separate cabins for each heating modality, electrical stimulators and exercise gymnasium
Artificial Limb Fitting center we have a very well equipped limb fitting center which is able to fabricate all kinds of artificial limbs (prostheses and orthoses) of most modern type for all types of amputations and deformities.
